ONCE UPON A TIME: BAGO MAG-TIME

30 minutes before mag-time,
Sabay kalokohan with mga kakosa

For example, gawa ka ng doodle art
Or you imagine nalang ika’y nagdadart
30 minutes before the time nagvavandal in your chair
Kahit punishable by dismissal, the hell you care!

Still it feels na ika’y bored na bored
Pakishout out naman “sana uwian na lord!”
If hindi na maka-wait, chitchat muna with cute seatmate
Share-share with your interests, yun pala makikipagdate

Kunin mo your Ipod, saka pahinaan ang sound
Sabay critic sa outfit ng classmate mong great pretender
Na pinapasok ng guard de  uniporme like of bartender

Text-text with your close friend na nasa next row
Asking anong color combination ang  ginamit nya for eyeshadow

Lumipas ang hinihingal na oras, 30 minutes before the time
You are gone na from your assigned seatplan
Magchichismims sa showbiz issues ng kasalukuyan
Will tell who’s your crush sa room, saka sabay tititigan

30 minutes before the time, siningit ang hallucinations
Magdedaydream kay crush, ang wagas na inspiration
If may extra load you, magmomobile internet
Touch pad, iphone, labas lahat ng gadget!

Iisipin mo na how’s your facebook notifications
You will write your email add sabay kagat sa snickers

Eh kasi naman you are done eating na

In the mean time, ang seatmate mong weirdo
Found a friend sa liwanag, naaliw sa shadow

When you saw your reflections sa salamin ng bintana
Congrats! Good for you, nareaize mong ikaw pala’y swabeng bata
So you exposed your DSLR at nagtake ng vanity pics

30 minutes before the time, you’re like OFW na kaytagal nakabalik
Go back to reality, kamusta ang online games?
Ang powers, ang characers, ang magic, ang flames?

‘Di pa you nakontento, nagshare ka pa ng knowledge
Pornsites na peborit ever since your tender age
Hininga ay amoy the bar, nalalanghap ng ‘yong kausap
Inosenteng ballpen imagined like legs, kinagat ng walang kahirap-hirap

Aba, it’s not just your bibig ang napakalikot
Tinker tinker with the beat of your fingers, ulong paikot-ikot
Hampas ng palm mo on the table, feel na feel mong magdrum!

Ang anticipation niya’y you are listening, ikaw pala’y tulala lang
And less than a minute, wow tulog na si manang!

Finally time na, suddenly nag-announce si teacher
Bukas you will have a long quiz na pagkaover-over
About the leksyon na natackle 30 minutes before the time
And bigla mong narealize para kang na-wansapanataym! :P

THE SYMPTOMS

Fear not the symptoms, fear more its cause
A dark shadow is more fierce than a body that's loss
Once darkness removes the sight of blindness itself
And wisdom will be locked forever in the shelf.

Worry more not in the absence of food abundance
But in the presence of gold that makes poor of the richness
For whatever is the exit shall bear the same cost of the entrance
What was one a waste will never happen to be worthless

It's one thing of ambiguity if you have nothing to do
Yet it's another complexion if you will do nothing
One day a square will employ in a circle of companies
Then a man's knowledge and time will be clothed in small office

Oh space! You are now too valuable to people
An inch of you to a household is already a temple
Beware because homes will no more have houses
Never you can find one, it's all filled with emptiness

People forced to convenient will be marching to the past
Trees will give birth to buildings, building that will not last
As power plants demolish the greenfields, little live eradicate
It's a man 's consent alone, that's why the Earth cannot appreciate.

Fear not the symptoms, fear more its cause
Hunger will feed you and make you carry the cross
The only job available is serving your very ego
By seizing a flower's space, you'll be a victim of your own fiasco.

What suffer a man is experiencing
What pain the world is giving
Are not the real problems you are facing
But are just starting symptoms of the ending

Hunger, homelessness, unemployment , nature devastation
And the rest that brings you to the world's destruction
Foolish rational beings! Poisoned ignorants of the potion
The culprit is in the society, the real evil is oppression.

THE POOREST OF THE POOR

The poorest of the poor are not the ones without a house,
But the ones who have not yet found their home
For it is better to live a life of a mouse
Than to own the world's wealth but lost to where you belong.

The poorest of the poor are not the ones who have  no land
But the ones who walk in solitude across the beaches and sand
For it is useless to embrace a very vast territory
If you can see just  yourself as your only memory.

The poorest of the poor are not those who are out of school
But the ones in high institutions yet think so low like a fool
For it is worthless to pretend high as if you know everything
And then once you work, it's like you have learned nothing.

The poorest of the poor are not those with no money
But those who are ignorant how to be happy without the peny
For it is priceless to give and share the blessings for free
Real happiness is infinite, it doesn't have currency.

The poorest of the poor are not those with physical incapabilities
But those who are physically complete but don't use their abilities
For it is more admirable that you are functioning behind what's lacking
Than to be complete and normal but is not at all serving.

The poorest of the poor are not the ones without occupation
But those who waste opportunity because of high expectation
Perhaps it is better to be neglected because you tried
Than to choose like a superior to beyond what is implied.

The poorest of the poor are not those with undesirable faces
But the pretenders to be beautiful in all circumstances
For it is better to stay undesirable yet harms no one
Than to look so beautiful but always hurt someone.

The poorest of the poor are not those who are in prison
But those who are jailed because of no justly reason
For it is more fair to be a sinner yet still live so free
Than to repent for the things you haven't done  and pay the fee.

The poorest of the  poor are not those who know less in this world
But those who know less about eternity
For it is more heavenly to live not so worldly
Knowledge is only humane, it is wisdom that is holy.

The poorest of the poor are not the ones who aren't rich
But those who do not have God in their lives
The poorest of the poor are not tho ones who doesn't have
But those who doesn't know how to truly love.
