A HAPPY PERSON

A happy person smiles more than he frowns,

He always looks at good things even when he’s down

Although not feeling well, he will strive to feel better

He is sweet and lively, he is not aloof and bitter.

A happy person encounters pain,

But he doesn’t keep it long forever in vain;

He may feel discouraged and disappointed

But believing he is blessed, he is contented.

Being a happy person doesn’t mean he has no problem,

In fact he has a lot, even try to ask him

However he sees these as challenges for him, for you and me

Recognizing these are just games, so he doesn’t take it seriously

A happy person experiences tons and tons of worries

Yet he is determined to fix them and focus in his duties

He does not consume his time in finding who to blame

Instead he thinks of solutions, he never points a name.

Of course a happy person gets hurt too

But he does not dwell much in it, he is not forever blue

He perceives things brightly, he sees beauty in every spark

He does not pay much attention to anything that is dark.

Even if he feels weak, he will try to be strong

He hates to be stucked, so he always moves along

Sometimes he looks  back but he never returns

He may leave grudges behind but he will bring what he learns.

A happy person always share happiness

He can cheer his  friends and he never spread sadness

Whatever his flaws, he admits them honestly

He accepts compliments and criticisms humbly.

Maybe now you agree to what has been said

This time you are smiling or reflecting instead

Tryin’ to figure out if you are like that in those days

And today you confirm “I’m a happy person” anyways!

Lastly before I forgot, do you know what makes a person happy?

What he has and how he used it, let’s say ‘maybe?’

But happiness begins with a decision of ‘wanting to be’
