THE BLIND

I know you.

You are the well-informed of the least information.

Like the wargames you play without the knowledge

If your own land is being threatened.

I was right, it was you with the book

Well-versed in the language of nudity, submerged

 In the grammar of rudeness without the knowledge

Of what even a simple law of your own land would mean.

Yes, you are with those artificial symmetry

Like the cosmetics brought to you by the foreign

Conceals what is natural, you are submissive,

And enjoy your own lust, without the knowledge

Over your body you are held captive of the other land.

Way back when you dwell in the online world

Of what is socially connected, updated without the knowledge

On how's your land in relation to the other.

I figure out, it was you

As you hold your gadgets every minute

Overwhelmed in its features without the knowledge

What lies beautifully in your own country.

Then go to the bar for a celebration,

became geniuses, name all the beverage

Like the master of drinking without the knowledge

Of how many in your land is thirsty of justice.

I know you.

The youth that assumes a cardinal of your own immaturity

And dare to push your career

With your own selfish concerns

Clutched as witnesses

Exclusive of your individual stories

But the well-informed of the least information

Shame! For you are ignorants, nobody but you

Is the BLIND of what's happening in your own nation!!

Naiinis ako sa mga taong walang pakialam sa sarili nilang bansa. Lalo na sa mga kabataang ang inaatupag lamang ay ang maglaro, makipag-“ibigan”, magpaganda, at kung anu-ano pang mga luho.  Tapos kung tatanungin mo sa isang bagay na may kaugnayan sa kondisyon ng Pilipinas nating mahal, ay walang masagot; kahit pa opinyon man lang ay wala. Hindi ko naman sinasabing tutukan niyo ng maigi ang bayan. Mahirap rin ‘yun. Ang sinasabi ko, atleast man lang, makialam kayo. Yun bang may SENSE OF CIVIC AWARENESS ? o para simple, sige, AWARENESS.

I believe, to be AWARE is not a choice. It is an obligation. A holistic obligation, a national obligation for the YOUTH.
